Having a hard time choosing between rubber or metal?  Our standard recommendation is the following; metal cutting edges are great for ALL applications and allow you to scratch the surface while cleaning asphalt or concrete.  Rubber cutting edges will get torn if used on rocky areas but are ideal for delicate surfaces such as asphalt or concrete.  Please keep in mind that rubber can leave a thin layer on surfaces that may freeze in certain conditions.
